Editions

A strategy for making and display. A project that’s fundamentally a reaction to the constructed scarcity and market logic of limited edition photographic prints. I use my indecisiveness about edition sizes for photographic work by turning it back into a singularly physical problem.

An image is printed several times with different color overlays, collated and torn together, then re-collaged and presented as the complete work/edition of a single photograph. Every edition is limited by the number of sheets I can reasonably rip at once.

It’s my hope that this connection to personal and physical limitations allows me to use this strategy as an accomplice to aid in future works involving larger issues of scarcity.
